Movie night review

Tonight was a glorious culmination of a difficult task.

It's safe to say we learned a lot.

My favorite takeaways:

  • When you're trying to get an interview, get on their level.
  • There is no such thing as too much b-roll.
  • Voice-over is a bridge between sources.
  • The direction of an interview matters.
  • In a team of 3, turn someone around to keep things in order.
In all seriousness, we should be proud of ourselves. Very few of us really knew what we were doing. Regardless of our skill levels and sets, we put together a night of engaging clips.

I learned and laughed. I think I will actually be able to get my students to produce multimedia packages this coming year. That's awesome.

I took the liberty of making hashtags for all of the teams. Enjoy them please!

#teamadventure, #teamteachermode, #teamnopants, #teammisters, #teamrideyourscooter, #teamnoextraeggs, #teamsheraton, #teamdavidistaken, #teamwhatthe, #teamsteamypedi, #teamnowater, and #teamspokes

  1. Your takeways are on point. The takeaway I put on my personal list is the one about B-Roll. We thought we had enough until we actually went to create the video. Of course we had to go back to the street to obtain additional B-Roll. Lesson learned.
    You never have enough B-Roll.

  2. You forgot and get a good partner who will help you with the computer program. I think it was a good experience. Thanks for your help.
