SEDONA, HOME SWEET HOME!

My solo spiritual trip to Sedona shifted to a group of three destined to go hiking. Eek, I only brought sandals.

Class is over. My adventure begins.

Flip flop to train station. Take a light rail ride to Camelback Rd. Flip flop to the bus stop. Wait. Wait. Wait. Get on the bus. Get off the bus. Flip flop to Sports Authority. My feet hurt. Six miles in an hour and a half. Not efficient. Buy hiking shoes. Pray they work. Feet hurt, so new shoes hurt. Flip flop to Starbucks. Call a cab. Need (yes, need) a frappuccino. Back to hotel. Feet hurt.

Dreading tomorrow's hike. Feet hurt. Shower. Pack. Bed.

Up with the sun. So excited. Feet don't hurt. Shoes feel good. I feel good. Travis doesn't feel good. Group down to two.

Coffee and banana bread. Bubbly conversation. Excitement. Anticipation. Girl talk.

Breathtaking formations. Exhilarating hike. Calming meditation.

Cheese and crackers. Berries and water. Lots and lots of water.

Healing. Healing. Healing.

Sedona, home sweet home.
